The Emergency Services Day was organized by Captain Dawn Bissegger, Lieutenant Paul McLean, Secretary Chad Rabkin, and Matt Griffith. The aim of this day was to inform the public about the various emergency services in and around Montreal, as well as to inform all the emergency departments of what equipment is available for mutual aid. We also wanted to promote the City of Pointe - Claire.
This day was dedicated to the memory of Barry Tottle, a lieutenant with the Pointe-Claire Fire Dept and a part time Urgence Sante Paramedic. He passed away on May 28, 2000 of  heart failure. Most of the Fire & Rescue personnel on the Island of Montreal probably received their  first aid training from Mr. Tottle. He might be gone, but by no means forgotten.
